Unlike standard underfloor heating systems and wall heating systems, BioClina capillary tube mats are not made of oxygen-tight tubes. They are made of high-quality and durable polypropylene (PP). Like all weldable plastics, polypropylene is open to oxygen diffusion. This means that oxygen penetrates through the wall of the pipe into the water until the saturation limit is reached. To prevent this oxygen from causing corrosion damage to the system, two separate water circuits are installed in the BioClina system and these are separated from each other by means of a stainless steel heat exchanger. Hydraulic problems in the generator circuit are thus decoupled and can therefore be ruled out.
Two hydraulic circuits are created, known as the primary circuit (heat generator up to the separation system) and the secondary circuit (from the separation system up to the BioClina capillary tube mats).
All components in the secondary circuit that come into contact with water are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as plastic, stainless steel, bronze or brass, so that the oxygen entering the system cannot cause any damage. This definitely prevents the system from silting up and the use of inhibitors or similar is not necessary.
