IT'S THE WARMTH THAT MAKES A HOME A COSY HOME
sustainability
The requirements for the energy performance of buildings are constantly growing. Of course, the heating system, and increasingly also the cooling system, are of great importance in this context. The aim is to noticeably reduce energy consumption without restricting the comfort or operational safety of the system.
This goal can only be achieved by using our resources more efficiently and, above all, by using environmental energy in combination with a heat pump. This requires a technology that can manage with low heating water temperatures of approx. 32 °C. The BioClina capillary tube system meets this requirement better than any other heat output system. Due to their characteristics, BioClina capillary tube mats are ideally suited for the application with low-energy heating and cooling systems.
The BioClina system is also ideally suited for room cooling, which is becoming increasingly in demand due to rising temperatures worldwide, especially in summer. As is the case when heating, the user benefits from the large exchange surface of the capillary tube mats. Even with water temperatures of 16 to 18°C, pleasant "silent cooling" is possible without noise pollution or draughts.
It has been proven that people feel very comfortable in rooms that are heated or cooled with BioClina capillary tube systems.

The basis of the capillary tube system is the capillary tube mat. The heat distribution is similar to the human blood circulation. The flow velocities in the arteries and in the capillary tubes are comparable. As in humans, the parallel flow in the capillary tube system takes place through a large number of capillaries. Cold or warm water flows through the capillary tubes to cool or heat rooms.
principle of thermal radiation
The capillary tube mat offers a large surface area for heat transfer, allowing efficient heating and cooling with low temperature differences. Hot or cold water circulates through the capillary tube mats installed in the ceiling, walls and floor.
The basis of the BioClina system is the capillary tube mat, as it has been used very successfully in heating and cooling ceilings for over 35 years. The BioClina capillary tube mat is a flexible high-performance surface heat exchanger. It consists of plastic pipes that lead into two distribution / collector pipes.
The water-bearing capillary tube mats are installed just below the surface of the room enclosure surfaces. This enables fast, yet gentle and effective room temperature control via the ceiling, walls and floor.
charakteristics
Thanks to the large exchange surfaces, large amounts of energy can be transferred even with small temperature differences between the active room surfaces and the room air.
For heating, approx. 32 °C warm water flows through the BioCIina system. Due to the small distances between the capillary tubes, surfaces can be heated homogeneously to a large extent. This means that floors can provide a heat output of almost 100 W/m² without exceeding the maximum permissible surface temperature of 29°C in the occupied zone. In this way, with BioClina underfloor heating you achieve healthy and comfortable room temperature control at all times.
In order to also use the system for cooling in summer, it is preferably installed in wall and ceiling surfaces. When cooling, the surface temperature of a ceiling, for example, is 17-19 °C with a flow temperature of 16 °C. With a plaster ceiling, up to 90 W DIN cooling capacity per square metre of mat surface can be achieved.
When building in existing buildings, and especially in old buildings, the BioClina capillary tube system offers solutions for comfortable and energy-saving/energy-conserving temperature control of all room-enclosing surfaces such as ceilings, walls and floors. Restrictions due to wooden floors and load-bearing load limitations are a thing of the past.
BioClina plastic capillary tube mats are not only used inside buildings as a heating and/or cooling system, but also as a ground collector.
separation system
Unlike commercially available surface heating and cooling systems, the capillary tube mats as well as pipes and fittings of the BioClina system are made of high-quality, durable polypropylene (PP-R). Like all weldable plastics, polypropylene is open to oxygen diffusion. This means that oxygen penetrates the system until the saturation limit of the water is reached. To prevent this oxygen from causing corrosion in the system, a separation system with a stainless steel plate heat exchanger is used. The separation system replaces the otherwise usual pump assembly with mixing loop. All components that come into contact with water are made of corrosion-resistant materials.
This system separation ensures that BioClina systems remain free of deposits and sludge. Even after many years, the water in the systems is "clean"; black heating water is a thing of the past.
The separation system controls the flow temperature, circulates the system water and maintains the pressure in the system. By decoupling the generator circuit from the consumer circuit, a simple system hydraulics is achieved.
